  Called ahead and asked about fees and the difference between regular Arizona run MVD and private Arizona Auto License Services. Person who answered the phone said "$30 fee and we smile". The confused staff at Arizona License Services was a frustrating experience. I was attempting to get an out of state title switched to Arizona and put license plates on the car. Let me tell you that the $30 fee wasn't worth it as it was a lengthy wait with staff that didn't seem to know what they were doing. Not a professionally run operation! I ended up going to state run MVD anyway even after paying the $30 extra fee to get title straightened around the way I wanted to begin with the And / Or ownership designation versus the Or designation that they talked me in to. Let me tell you that the state run operation was a lot better experience as they know what they are doing and by the way they also did it with a smile! The state operation is turning positive for the better as they have a Much Improved focus on customer service with a much smaller wait time! Don't waste your time and hard earned money (an extra $30)! Go to the state operation as it is quicker and they know what they are doing and do it with a smile!
