  Without even exaggerating, their ATM's down about 10-15% of the time that I need to use it. Either it has an out of order sign on it, it can't dispense cash, it can't read my checks I'm trying to deposit, etc. I'm definitely switching banks soon. If what I stated above isn't enough, it's an ordeal to do a wire transfer with BBVA Compass. I send wire transfers monthly and I have to sit there for at least 30 mins while the same lady that does it every month for me has to figure it out all over again. She literally has to call support every time. I don't necessarily blame the lady as I know BBVA Compass is about a decade behind on technology, at least. I've also experienced some bad customer service here. I went into the branch one day to get counter checks because I ran out. I also figured I might as well make the deposit with the teller since I'm already going inside. During the transaction, the teller actually asked me if I know how to use the ATM. I said yes I do, but I needed to come inside to get counter checks. I couldn't believe she asked me this, I'm in my early 30's. Their online banking sucks as well. When I pay my credit card online it doesn't even seem to register unless I pay it on the day that it's due. Not very comforting... All in all, this is a terrible bank and I have no idea how they've managed to stay in business for this long. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

  My accountant, a teller and the manager all said I could close my account and wouldn't be charged for it. I'm being charged for it.
